I have been a Research Administrator for the past 19 years in the departments of Immunology and most recently Biomedical Engineering in the Lerner Research Institute at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. In my current position I have responsibility for pre-award grant applications and post-award grant management as well as overall management of a department of 200 employees and graduate students. As a Research Administrator I have lectured on various topics including effort certification, our purchasing system, and general management techniques. Prior to research administration, I was an Administrator in the Laboratory at St. Luke's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. At St. Luke’s I was the Administrator over the clinical laboratory. I was active in Clinical Laboratory Management Association on both the local and national level. I was on the national Board of Directors and lectured around the country on various topics relevant to the industry.
